Julia Fiona Roberts is the daughter of Betty Lou Bredemus, and Walter Grady Roberts. She was born on the 28th of October 1967, in Atlanta. Julia Fona Roberts is the fourth generation of Roberts who reside in Atlanta. Her father was enthusiastic about theatre since a young stage. While he was a pupil in Emory University from 1952 to 1954, he participated in several shows. He joined the military in 1953. During his time being stationed at Biloxi Mississippi was cast in the military's production, which featured Betty Lou Bredemus who was as well in Air Force. They got married in 1955. Their baby son Eric Anthony, was born in 1956. Walter and his wife left the military in and enrolled Walter in Tulane University. The family relocated in 1960 from Louisiana to Decatur Georgia where Walter began working with Atlanta's Academy Theater and the Harrington Scenic and Lighting Studio. In 1964, Walter as well as Betty Lou began production on a local children's Saturday morning television program known as Bum Bum and His Buddies which they funded by themselves. In the following year, they established The Actors and Writers Workshop which was in operation for six years. They were joined by Lelisa Billingsley (also called Lisa) as well as Julia (also known as Julie) in this time.
