Meagan Good's mom Tyra was in her teens working at Panorama City as a manager as well as her father Leondis Leon Good, a policeman in LAPD. Killmer originates from Texas she attended Baylor University, Waco Texas. She received a degree from the performing arts. In 2010, she earned an art degree. The following year, she started her screen career with the web-series If Can Dream. Kara Killmer's screen career started in the year 2010 when she appeared on the pilot episode of Simon Fuller's Hulu television show If I Can Dream. The reality show revolved around a group of performers that move into a house in Hollywood California.
