Meagan Good's mother Tyra was a teenager working at Panorama City as a manager and father Leondis Leon Good, a policeman with the LAPD. The actress began her career an actress at four years old. Early in her career, she worked as an extra on TV shows like Doogie Howser Amen or M.D. In the year she turned 13, her first role in a film Friday took place. The film first caught the attention of her performance as teenage troubled Cisely Batiste in the movie Eve's Bayou in 1997 for which she received two award nominations. One of them was her first N.A.A.C.P. Image Award nomination. Good began to take on smaller TV and film roles over in the following years before transitioning to more seasoned roles in the beginning of 2000. Her Nickelodeon TV show Cousins Skeeter was a Nina. In 2004, she starred in D.E.B.S, an action comedy film that resulted in her being nominated as Best Actress at the Black Movie Awards in 2005. Killmer originates from Texas and attended Baylor University, Waco Texas. She earned a degree in performing arts. degree in performance arts in 2010. The following year, she started her career on screen in the web-series If Can Dream. Kara Killmer began her career onscreen in 2010 after appearing in various local shows. She appeared in Simon Fuller's Hulu series If I Can Dream in its pilot episode. The show centers around a troupe of actors who live in a Hollywood California house.
