Lis Wehl was born on September 19, 1961, in the US, is an author and the former legal expert of Fox News.
She is currently an adjunct professor of law at New York Law School. Prior to that she served as an associate professor at University of Washington Law School. She provided legal commentary on Bill O'Reilly's radio show and National Public Radio. She's been on The O'Reilly Factor and Your World with Neil Cavuto. The Kelly File, with Megyn Kelly Lou Dobbs and Megyn Kelly, along with The Imus Morning Shows.
Wiehl is a native of Yakima, and raised in Yakima in Washington State, matriculated in Yakima from West Valley High School. She received her bachelor's degree at Barnard College, followed by an MA in literature at the University of Queensland, in 1985.
Wiehl served as prosecutor at the US Attorney's Office. She worked as the legal correspondent for NPR All Things Considered. She served as "the the deputy chief of investigative counsel for Democrats on the House Judiciary Committee during Clinton's impeachment." From 1995 until 2001, she was a tenured professor in the University of Washington School of Law in Seattle, where she ran the Trial Advocacy Program. Wiehl was a Fox News Legal Analyst from the year 2001 through 2017.
